[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 8일 재단법인 포천문화재단은 반월아트홀 소극장에서 경기북부권역 문화예술 정책축제를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

경기북부권역 문화예술 정책축제는 경기도의 분권과 자치에 대한 이슈가 본격적으로 제기됨에 따라 선제적으로 제도적 기반을 마련하고 문화재단으로서 역할 재정립함과 동시에 경기도 31개 시·군 기초문화재단 및 행정기관과 협력을 통해 경기도형 문화정책에 대한 개발 모색을 위해 경기문화재단이 주최하는 행사로 경기북부권역에서는 포천문화재단이 권역 대표기관으로 선정되어 행사를 주관했다고 전했다.

이번 정책축제에서는 경기북부 지역에 맞는 ‘문화예술이 만들어가는 기억, 치유, 평화’라는 주제로 포천시, 파주시, 양주시, 동두천시 등이 모여 지역의제 및 이슈에 대해 관련 토론과 사업 제안을 이어갔으며, 지역문화와 문화예술에 대한 정책발굴을 토론하며 경기북부의 문화예술 발전을 위한 실무기관간 소통으로 공감대를 크게 형성했다는 평가라고 했다. 

권역대표기관장인 제갈현 포천문화재단 대표이사는 “경기도 문화자치 활성화 방안을 모색하는 뜻깊은 행사를 우리 포천시에서 진행할 수 있어 기쁘게 생각한다.”면서 “이번 주제인 문화예술이 만들어 가는 기억, 치유, 평화는 경기북부만이 말할 수 있는 주제이고, 공통적으로 가진 역사적, 지리적, 문화적 환경등을 발판삼아 저력과 동력으로 전환해야할 시기이다. 이번 정책축제의 개최를 통해 우리 모두가 기억, 치유, 평화라는 미래를 함께 그려나갈 수 있기를 희망한다.”라고 말했다.
