[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 26일 포천시는 시청 2층 시정회의실에서 여성친화도시 조성을 위한 ‘포천시 양성평등정책 중장기 발전계획 연구용역’ 최종보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

여성친화도시란 지역정책과 발전과정에 여성과 남성이 평등하게 참여하고 여성의 역량강화, 돌봄, 안전 등을 구현해 가족이 행복하게 살 수 있는 정주 여건이 마련된 도시를 의미한다고 했다.

이날 보고회에는 박윤국 포천시장을 비롯해 양성평등위원회 위원, 여성·아동·가족 관련 기관 관계자 등이 참석해 수행기관인 경기도여성가족재단에서 연구한 용역 결과를 보고했다고 전했다.

연구용역에서는 ‘함께 성장하고 함께 누리는 시민중심도시 포천’이라는 비전제시와 함께 여성친화도시 조성 5대 목표에 따라 14개 정책과제와 44개 세부과제를 제시했다고 했다.

포천시는 이번 최종보고회에서 나온 다양한 의견을 종합적으로 검토해 내달 초 용역을 마무리한 뒤 여성친화도시 신규 지정을 신청할 계획이라고 했다.

박윤국 시장은 “우리 지역 특색에 맞는 체계적인 계획수립을 통해 여성뿐만이 아닌 시민 모두가 행복하게 살 수 있는 정주여건을 마련하는 데 힘쓰겠다.”라고 말했다.
