[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 웰컴투 동해시 협의회(회장 양재황)는 수도권 관광객 유치를 위해 최근 평화시장 및 명동을 거쳐, 동대문시장에서 동해관광 홍보 캠페인을 전개했다고 밝혔다.

지난 22일 진행된 캠페인은 2023-2024 한국관광100선에 선정된 “도째비골스카이밸리와 해랑전망대”, “무릉계곡”등 동해시 대표 관광지 홍보물 배부 등을 통해 수도권 시민들의 관심을 모았다.

한편, 웰컴투 동해시협의회는 동해시 관광활성화를 위해 구성된 민간단체로 다양한 관광홍보 활동과 관광 안내자 기본교육은 물론 전문 강사를 초빙, 전문교육을 자체적으로 진행해오고 있다.

이월출 문화관광과장은 “협의회의 적극적인 관광홍보 활동에 진심으로 감사드리며, 동해시민 모두가 동해여행 가이드라는 마음으로 홍보활동을 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
