[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평소방서는 지난 11일 가평관내 다문화시설에 방문하여 119다매체 신고서비스 홍보물 배부 및 안전교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

119다매체 신고서비스는 대화로 의사소통이 어려운 장애인이나 한국어가 서툰 외국인들이 일반적인 119전화 신고뿐만 아니라 문자, 앱, 영상통화를 통해 긴급상황을 전달할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

문자신고의 경우는 음성통화가 불가능 하거나 전화 불통지역에서 119신고가 가능하다. 또한 사진이나 영상 첨부가 가능하여 전화 신고보다 상황을 정확하게 전달할 수 있다.

앱신고는 스마트폰에 ‘119신고’ 앱을 다운받아 신고가 가능하다. 몇번의 터치만으로 신고가 가능하고 정확한 위치추적이 가능하다는 장점이 있다.

영상통화신고는 청각장애인 등 필담이나 수화로만 대화가 가능하거나 한국어가 서툰 외국인들이 이용하면 기존 신고방법보다 나은 의사소통이 가능하다.
