[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월 4일 오전 10시부터 원주시는 제24회 원주 한지문화제에 대한 사전 합동 안전 점검을 한지테마파크 일원에서 실시한다고 밝혔다.

최근 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 전면 해제로 일상 회복이 속도를 더해가는 가운데, 그동안 중단됐거나 축소됐던 원주시 지역축제도 예전의 모습으로 시민들을 맞이하기 위해 분주히 움직이고 있으며, 아직 코로나19에 대해 안심할 수 없는 상황인 만큼 원주시 안전총괄과를 비롯한 분야별 담당 부서를 필두로 민·관 합동으로 구성된 원주시 안전관리자문단의 도움을 받아 방역을 비롯한 시설 안전, 전기, 교통, 소방 등 다양한 분야를 철저히 점검할 예정이라고 전했다.

원주시 관계자는 “면밀한 안전 점검을 통해 시민들이 안전하고 즐거운 축제 분위기를 즐길 수 있도록 하겠다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 원주시는 일정 규모 이상의 지역축제에 대해 매년 10여 차례 이상 안전관리계획 심의와 축제장 현장점검을 실시하고 있다고 했다.
