[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 18일 권남주(權南柱, 60세) 前한국자산관리공사 부사장이 한국자산관리공사(캠코) 신임 사장으로 취임했다고 밝혔다.

권남주 사장은 이날 부산국제금융센터(BIFC) 본사 3층 캠코마루에서 가진 취임식에서, “캠코 창립 60주년을 맞는 중요한 시기에 사장으로서 막중한 책임감을 느끼며, 공적 자산관리전문기관인 캠코의 위상을 더욱 공고히 하고, 멈춤 없이 전진할 수 있도록 모든 힘을 쏟겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다. 

권 사장은 취임사를 통해 캠코가 국가와 국민을 위한 100년 기업으로 지속 성장하기 위해서는, “코로나19 장기화에 따른 위기극복에 앞장서서 위기대응 역량을 강화하고, 개인연체채권 매입펀드, 기업지원 프로그램 등 주요 사업을 차질 없이 수행하여 위기극복의 견인차 역할을 해야 한다”며, “‘가계’, ‘기업’, ‘공공’의 전 사업 부문에서 균형 있는 성장을 추진하기 위해 사업 포트폴리오를 고도화하는 한편, 실행력 제고를 위한 전문성 강화에도 역량을 집중해야 할 것“이라고 말했다.

또한 “산업 전환, 에너지 전환, DㆍNㆍA 중심의 디지털 전환 등 대전환의 시대와 마주한 지금, 4차 산업혁명 등 변화에 슬기롭게 대응하여 미래혁신을 선도하는 역량을 갖출 수 있도록 철저히 준비해야 한다”고 당부했다.

특히, 권 사장은 “‘안전경영’ 최우선 원칙에 바탕을 둔 전사적 안전관리 체계 고도화, 국민 눈높이에 맞는 엄격한 ‘윤리경영’의 실천과 함께, 지역사회 발전을 위한 상생 협력을 확대해 ‘상생경영’과 ‘ESG경영’을 선도해 가겠다”고 강조했다.

이어 권 사장은 “캠코가 100년 기업으로 재도약하기 위한 원동력은 구성원의 ‘화합과 단결’”이라며, “중지성성(衆志成城)의 의미처럼 임직원간 자유롭고 활발한 소통을 통해 업무개선과 사업성과를 도출하고, 직원의 노력과 수고가 정당하게 보상받을 수 있도록 공정한 제도와 문화를 만들어 갈 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

권 사장은 1998년 외환위기 극복의 중심에 있던 캠코에 입사해 NPL인수전략실 실장, 인재경영부 부장, 상임이사를 거쳐 지난해 5월까지 부사장으로 재임했다고 전했다.
