[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군보훈단체협의회는 지난 30일 가평군보훈회관에서  제1대 윤장원 회장(상이군경회가평지회장) 이임식 및 제2대 조완수 회장(고엽제전우회 가평지회장) 취임식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 서태원 군수와 최춘식 국회의원, 9개 보훈단체지회장 및 보훈단체회원 등 30여명이 참석한 가운데 11년여간 가평군보훈단체협의회장으로 재임하며 공훈선양사업 및 보훈가족 복리증진으로 보훈문화 확산에 앞장선 윤장원 회장에게 공로패와 감사패가 수여됐으며 이임사, 신임 조완수 회장 취임사, 축사 순으로 진행됐다. 

앞으로 2년간 가평군보훈단체협의회를 이끌어 갈 조완수 신임 회장은 취임사에서 “윤장원 전임 회장의 11년간의 노고에 깊은 감사를 표하며 전 회장 임기 내 건립한 가평군보훈회관에서 9개 보훈단체가 화합하고 회원 확보 등 국가보훈대상자 예우를 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

서태원 가평군수는 축사에서 그동안 고생하신 윤장원 회장과 신임 조완수 회장에게 감사와 축하의 인사를 전하며, “올해 보훈가족의 오랜 숙원 사업인 월남참전기념탑 건립 및 미영연방 관광안보공원 조성, 보훈조례 개정을 통해 명예수당 증액 검토 등 보훈가족에 대한 예우와 권익보호를 위해 적극 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
