[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 5월 9일 권남주 캠코(한국자산관리공사) 사장은 ‘용사의 집 재건립 위탁개발사업*’ 현장(서울시 용산구)에서 특별 안전점검을 실시하고, 국민의 생명과 안전이 경영의 최우선이라고 밝혔다.

권남주 사장은 이날 현장을 살피며, 근로자 안전보호대책 시행 여부, 건설업 3대 악성 사망 요인(추락, 충돌, 질식) 차단, 화재ㆍ폭발사고 안전조치 등 중대재해 예방을 위한 안전관리 상태를 면밀히 점검했다고 전했다. 

아울러, 안전점검을 마치고 권남주 사장은 현장 근로자 및 협력사 관계자들과 즉석 간담회를 실시해 현장의 애로사항과 안전관리 개선점에 대한 의견을 나눴다고 했다.

이번 안전점검은 권남주 사장의 ‘안전 최우선’ 경영 가치를 바탕으로, 중대 산업재해 등 안전사고로부터 근로자를 보호하고, 국민의 생명과 안전을 최우선하는 안전문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

특히, 올해 캠코는 ｢중대재해 처벌 등에 관한 법률｣이 시행되는 원년인 만큼, 9년 연속 중대재해 ‘ZERO’를 목표로 하고 있다고 전했다. 

이를 위해 캠코는 경영진 특별점검, 현장별 안전등급화를 통한 선택 집중 관리, 외부전문가 참여 합동 안전점검 등 지난 1월 수립한 ‘안전경영 책임 계획’을 촘촘히 이행할 계획이라고 전했다.

권남주 캠코 사장은 “국민의 생명과 안전을 최우선으로 삼는 안전한 경영환경을 만들어 나가겠다”고 강조하며, “도심 내 위치한 고층건축물 건설현장에서는 작은 방심이 큰 사고로 이어지므로 각별한 주의가 필요하다”고 말했다.
