주요 건의사항으로는 탈석탄산업 정책에 따른 대체산업 육성지원, 균형발전위원회 지역균형 뉴딜사업으로 선정된 ‘산림산업 클러스터 조성’의 원활한 추진, 태백선수촌 다목적체육관 건립 등을 비롯한 시정 주요현안에 대한 전폭적인 지원과 협조를 요청했다고 했다.

태백시는 향후에도 국비확보 및 시 주요현안 사업의 원활한 추진을 위한 정부 차원의 지원과 긴밀한 협조를 위해 최선을 다할 것임을 밝혔다.
