[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 7일 캠코(한국자산관리공사)는 도봉세무서(서울 강북구)에서 남궁 영 캠코 공공개발본부장, 안도걸 기획재정부 제2차관, 박겸수 강북구청장, 임성빈 서울지방국세청장이 참석한 가운데 ｢도봉세무서 복합개발사업의 성공적 수행을 위한 관계기관 업무협약｣을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 캠코와 기획재정부, 강북구, 국세청이 협력하여 재건축이 시급한 지금의 도봉세무서를 철거하고, 세무서 등 신축 청사와 수영장 등 지역주민을 위한 생활SOC를 복합개발 방식으로 건립하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

협약에 따라 기획재정부가 청사 신축예산 399억원을, 강북구는 생활SOC 건립비용 86억원을 분담하고, 캠코가 2027년 6월까지 지하3층, 지상9층, 연면적 17,500㎡규모의 복합시설로 일괄 개발할 예정이라고 했다.

이번 개발사업은 캠코가 국유지를 활용해 정부청사와 생활SOC를 단일 건물로 개발하는 최초 사례로, 행정목적의 신축 청사와 도심에 부족한 생활SOC를 함께 공급하는 새로운 모델로 자리 잡을 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다고 했다. 

남궁 영 캠코 공공개발본부장은 “이번 사업은 캠코가 국․공유재산 개발역량을 활용해 새로운 개발모델을 제시하고 있다는 데 의미가 크다”며, “사업관리에 만전을 기하는 것은 물론, 노후 청사나 국유지를 활용해 행정수요 공급과 함께 국민들의 일생생활 공간과 편의시설을 늘려갈 계획”이라고 말했다.

한편, 캠코는 정부, 지자체 등과 협력하여 총 40건, 1.4조원 규모의 국·공유 개발사업을 완료했으며, 정부 청․관사 신축사업과 함께 13개 지자체 위탁 생활SOC 건립사업 등 총 47건, 1.5조원 규모의 개발사업을 수행하고 있다고 전했다.
