[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 6일, 조미담 미담주 대표가 농산물 가공산업 발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 강원도지사 표창을 수상했고 유진수 홍천군 남면장은 남면 행정복지센터에서 조미담 대표에게 강원도지사 표창장을 전수했다고 밝혔다.

홍천군 남면 제곡리에 위치한 미담주는 옛 방식으로 술을 빚어 전통주를 만들고 있으며, 지난 2018년 상표출원을 마쳤고, 양조장 체험과 전통주 강좌를 운영하는 등 전통주 보급을 위해 노력하고 있다고 했다.

조미담 대표는 “앞으로도 지역 농민에게 도움이 되고 우리 술에 대한 자긍심을 가질 수 있도록 전통주 콘텐츠 개발에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

한편 조미담 대표는 지난 2018년 대한민국 신지식인에 선정된 바 있으며, 2019년 중소벤처기업부 장관 표창을 수상한 바 있다고 했다.
