[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시에서 운영하는 포천청소년문화의집 청소년방과후아카데미 ‘꿈터’는 경기미래교육 양평캠퍼스와 연계하여 청소년방과후아카데미 참여 청소년 36명을 대상으로 미래인재양성교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

지난 7일부터 23일까지 6회기로 이뤄진 이번 프로그램은 체험하면서 배우는 ‘진로’(크리에이터, 웹툰 작가, 패션디자이너), 놀면서 배우는 ‘창의’(드론코딩, 사물인터넷 IoT), 인재가 되기 위한 첫걸음 ‘인성함양’(학교폭력예방교육) 3가지의 파트로 기획됐다고 했다. 

청소년들에게 이론 교육과 함께 여러 가지 참여 활동으로 구성되어 높은 수준의 창의적 문제해결능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 미래인재양성교육을 제공했다고 했다.

이번 프로그램에 참여한 청소년은 “평소 어려웠던 코딩을 혼자서 할 수 있었다. 학교에서 듣던 수업과는 다른 느낌이어서 재미있었다.”라고 소감을 전했다.

방과후아카데미 관계자는 “주입식 교육이 아닌 다양한 교구를 사용한 체험형 수업으로 진행해 아이들이 적극적으로 참여하는 모습을 볼 수 있어 좋았다. 앞으로도 창의적인 미래인재를 양성할 수 있도록 좋은 프로그램을 연계·제공하겠다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 청소년방과후아카데미는 여성가족부와 포천시가 방과 후 돌봄이 필요한 청소년의 역량을 개발하고 건강한 성장을 지원하는 국가정책지원 사업이라고 전했다. 

포천시청소년교육문화센터와 포천청소년문화의집에서 중학교 1~3학년을 대상으로 5개 반으로 운영하고 있으며, 포천시 관내 청소년이면 누구나 신청할 수 있다고 전했다.
