[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 6일 포천시농업기술센터는 도시농업 전문 인력을 양성하기 위해 추진한 ‘2021년 도시농업전문가 양성교육’ 수료식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

지난 3월부터 10월 6일까지 진행된 도시농업전문가 양성과정 교육은 총 25회 100시간 과정으로 코로나 상황에 따라 대면 또는 비대면 교육으로 진행됐고, 주요내용으로는 도시농업의 이해와 텃밭 기반조성, 도시농업 프로그램 개발, 친환경 농사와 안전 농산물 생산 등을 다뤘다고 전했다.

해당교육은 교육과정 이수시간 80%이상, 과제제출 및 시험평가를 충족해야 수료를 할 수 있으며, 이번 교육과정에서 20명의 수료생을 배출했다고 밝혔다.

교육을 수료하면 농림축산식품부가 발급하는 ‘도시농업관리사’ 국가자격증 취득요건 중 하나를 충족하게 되고, 또한 9종의 국가기술자격증 기능사 이상의 자격증을 소지하여 도시농업관리사 자격 취득 시 도시농업 관련 교육, 지도 등 도시농업 전문강사로도 활동할 수 있다고 전했다. 

농업기술센터 관계자는 “앞으로도 고품질 도시농업 서비스를 제공하기 위해 도시농업 전문가를 지속적으로 양성할 계획이다.”라며 “도시농업의 공익적 가치 확산과 지역의 일자리 창출에 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
