[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2일 소흘읍행정복지센터는 포천경찰서, 소흘읍새마을부녀회와 함께 외국인 코로나19 확산방지를 위한 합동방역점검에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

포천시에서 외국인 활동이 가장 많은 지역으로 손꼽히는 소흘읍은 자칫 방역사각지대에 놓일 수 있는 외국인에 대해 선제적으로 대응하고자 외국인 출입이 많은 식당, 종교시설을 중심으로 손소독제를 전달하고 코로나19 예방 홍보활동과 함께 방역소독을 실시했다고 했다.

최기진 소흘읍장은 “외국인 근로자에 대한 코로나19 예방수칙 준수와 선제적 검사 그리고 범죄발생 예방을 위한 홍보활동에 참여해주신 포천경찰서와 소흘읍부녀회에 감사를 드린다.”라며, “외국인도 방역수칙을 자발적으로 준수하고 코로나19 예방에 적극 협조하여 ‘함께, 행복한 소흘’을 만들어 나갔으면 한다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 소흘읍행정복지센터는 코로나19 예방을 위한 다양한 활동을 하고 있다. 각 마을 경로당은 방역관리 책임자를 지정해 운영하고 있으며, 매일 수백 명의 민원인이 방문하는 청사는 방역을 위해 하루 두 차례의 정기 소독을 진행하고 있다고 했다.
