[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7일 포천시는 한국교통안전공단 경기북부지부 및 포천경찰서와 합동으로 어린이 통학버스 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

어린이 통학버스 점검은 통학버스 운전자와 운영자의 안전의식 제고를 위해 매년 상·하반기 연 2회 실시하며, 2022년 상반기 점검은 포천종합운동장 주차장에서 관내 어린이집, 지역아동센터, 청소년수련시설 등 어린이 통학버스를 대상으로 진행했다고 했다. 

점검내용은 어린이 통학버스 신고 운행, 종합보험 가입, 안전교육기간 적정 확인, 운전자교육 이수, 하차 확인장치 설치와 좌석안전띠 결함, 어린이 신체에 맞춘 버스 구조 및 장치 준수 여부라고 전했다.

어린이 통학버스 관계기관 담당자는 “지속적인 안전점검을 통해 아이들이 안전하게 등·하원 할 수 있는 통학 환경을 조성하겠다.”라고 말했다.
