[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 17일 포천라이온스클럽은 어려운 이웃들을 위해 쌀 10kg 20포를 이동면사무소에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

김원우 회장은 “포천라이온스클럽은 주거환경개선사업과 물품지원사업 등 해당 지역의 특성이나 욕구에 맞춰 어려운 이웃들을 지원하고 있다. 앞으로도 포천시를 위해 꾸준히 봉사하겠다.”로 밝혔다.

송영범 이동면장은 “이동면 취약 계층가구를 위해 따뜻한 마음을 전달해주어 감사드린다. 경제적인 어려움을 겪고 있는 분들에게 잘 전달하겠다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 국제라이온스협회 제354-H(경기북부) 지구에 속해 있으며 ‘우리는 봉사한다(We Serve)’라는 슬로건 아래 평소 어려운 이웃과 소외계층을 위해 꾸준히 나눔을 실천하고 있다고 했다.
