[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 11일 의정부시는 대한적십자봉사회 의정부지구협의회가 대한적십자사 북부봉사관에서 지역아동센터에 전달하기 위한 빵 나눔 행사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 나눔 행사는 우미자 회장을 포함한 14명의 봉사원들이 참여하여 만든 초코머핀 및 단팥빵 350개를 코로나19 확산 예방을 위해 사회적 거리두기 지침을 준수하며 관내 소재한 나무들을 위한 숲 지역아동센터에 전달했다고 말했다. 

우미자 회장은 “그동안 코로나19로 빵 나눔 행사를 갖지 못한 아쉬움이 컸지만 이번 활동을 통해 사랑의 손길이 필요한 아동들에게 간식을 전달할 수 있어 기뻤다.”며 “아동들이 코로나19를 안전하고 건강하게 극복하길 바란다.”고 말했다.

한편, 대한적십자사봉사회 의정부지구협의회는 이번 빵 나눔 봉사활동 뿐만 아니라 구호물품 전달, 계절김치 나눔 봉사 등 해마다 다양한 봉사활동으로 지역사회의 화합과 발전에 힘쓰고 있다고 했다.
