[서종협 기자 = 영월군] 사)강원도지체장애인협회 영월군지회(지회장 신승원)는 오는 10월 15일(토)까지 중증장애인들의 DIY원예작품을 영월군 장애인문화복지센터 지하 1층에 전시한다고 밝혔다.

영월군장애인복지기금사업으로 진행된‘중증장애인을 위한 코로나블루 극복 마음의 면역력 키우기 ’DIY원예활동 프로그램은 거동이 불편한 중증장애인(8명)을 대상으로 찾아가는 방문 상담 연계로 지친 마음을 달래드리며 6월~9월까지 12주 동안 일주일에 한 작품씩 다양한 원예작품을 만들었다. 

프로그램에 참여했던 대상자들과 활동지원사 등이 참석하여 9월 26일 11시 개회식을 개최하였으며 완성작품의 전시회를 통해 성취감, 만족감으로 코로나로 인한 우울감을 다소 해소하는 기회가 되었다. 

한편 강원도지체장애인협회 영월군지회는 전체 장애인을 대상으로 일상생활의 민원, 취업․결혼․고충 상담과 복지시책 홍보, 후원물품 전달 등의 서비스를 제공하고 장애인체육대회 및 각종행사 참여, 재활․여가․문화 활동의 프로그램을 진행하는 장애인종합상담실과 신축, 증․개축 등의 건축물에 대한 편의시설 검토, 적합성 조사, 민원상담 등을 지자체와 연하여 진행하는 편의증진기술지원센터를 운영하고 있다.
