[서종협 기자 = 동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 최근 청소년 맞춤형 종합 지원계획이 마련되는 등 민선8기 시민 중심 행복 도시구현을 위한 청소년 분야 정책에 관심을 쏟고 있다고 밝혔다.

오는 27일(화) 오후 2시 시청 2층 회의실에서 심규언 시장을 비롯한 시의회, 교육지원청, 청소년참여위원회 관계자 30여명이 참석한 가운데, ‘동해시 청소년 중장기 발전계획 수립 연구용역’ 최종 보고회가 개최된다.

이날 보고회는 지난 4월부터 명지대 산학협력단에서 수행한 연구용역 결과물인 ▲동해시 청소년 현황 및 정책 환경분석 ▲ 동해시 청소년 및 관계자 욕구 결과분석 ▲ 동해시 청소년 중·장기 발전계획 수립 및 발전 방안 등을 청소년학과 권일남 교수가 보고 할 예정이다.  

이와 함께, 민선8기 핵심공약사항으로 올 연말 준공되어 내년에 운영될  청소년 체육문화센터와 북평레포츠 복합시설, 꿈빛마루도서관 등의  체육문화여가시설은 청소년들의 건강한 성장과 복지 서비스 개선에  큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다.

심규언 동해시장은 “최근 들어 청소년들이 올바르게 성장 할 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 것이 우리 지역사회의 역할”이라며 “청소년 중·장기 발전계획을 통해 관계기관과 협업해 건강한 청소년 문화를 창달하고 청소년이 행복한 사회를 구현해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
