[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 민선 8기 더 좋은 동해시대 준비위원회가 지난 29일 시청 대회의실에서 열린 전체 최종보고를 마지막으로 공식 일정을 마무리했으며, 준비위원회는 이날 심규언 동해시장에게 민선8기 110대 정책과제를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

행정혁신, 경제산업, 문화관광, 교육복지, 안전·정주환경 등 5개 분야 15명으로 구성된 더 좋은 동해시대 준비위원회는 지난 14일부터 본격 운영에 들어가 29일까지 16일간 공식 업무를 수행하며, 주 1회 이상의 토론회 방식의 회의를 진행하며 분야별 핵심 업무 선정, 정책 비전 제시, 실천화 방안 검토 등을 논의했다고 했다.

민선8기 110대 정책과제는 행정혁신, 산업·물류, 관광, 복지, 정주환경, 제안과제 등 7개 분야로 구성됐다고 전했다.

세부적으로는 행정혁신 분야에 강원특별자치도 출범에 따른 선제적 대응, 지방소멸 대응 방안 마련 등 7개 사업이 제안됐으며, 산업·물류 분야에 수소경제 산업기반 조성, 청년의 발(희망택시) 운영 등 16개 사업, 관광분야에 망상 골프장 및 호텔 리조트 건립, 망상·대진 서핑 클러스터 조성 및 배후상권 활성화 등 19개 사업이라고 했다

복지분야에 고령자 및 청년 복지주택 건립, 베리어 프리 도시조성 및 교통 서비스 확대 등 35개 사업, 정주환경 분야에 북부지역 아파트 건립 유치, 대진 일원 포스트 어촌뉴딜사업 추진 등 14개 사업이라고 했다

그 밖에 준비위원회 제안과제 묵호항 디지털아트리조트컴플렉스, 한섬 프로젝트, 무릉별 프로젝트 등 19개 사업으로, 시민이 행복한 시정 구현과 미래 먹거리 창출을 위한 세부 계획 등이 담겼다고 했다.

제안된 정책과제는 실현 가능성 등 내부 검토와 시민 의견 수렴 등의 절차를 거쳐 민선 8기 시정 주요 업무 계획에 반영·추진될 예정이라고 전했다.

심규언 동해시장은 “2주 동안 고생하신 준비위원들께 감사드리며, 이번 제안된 정책과제들을 면밀히 검토·추진하여, 더 좋은 동해시대, 시민의 삶이 행복한 동해를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 준비위원회의 활동 결과는 다음달 중 시 홈페이지를 통해 시민들에게 공개될 예정이라고 전했다.
