[김준호 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 추석을 앞두고 오는 29일부터 9월 12일까지 건설 현장 근로자의 임금과 하도급 업체 등에 대한 공사대금 체불 실태를 특별점검한다고 지난 22일 밝혔다.

이에, 시는 사업부서 발주 공사 하도급업체 대상 현지 확인, 하도급 불공정행위 특별대책 상황실 운영 및 명절기간 하도급대금 불공정행위 신고센터 운영 등 상시 비상연락체제를 유지할 예정이다. 

또한, 공사 관련 대금의 집행과 이행 실태, 근로계약서와 건설기계 임대차계약 적정 여부 등을 중점적으로 점검해 체불 예방 활동의 실효성을 높이는 한편, 위반사항이 있으면 경중에 따라 현지 시정, 영업정지, 입찰 참여 제한 등 행정 조치를 병행할 방침이다.

천수정 회계과장은 “추석 명절을 앞두고 자금 조달에 어려움이 없도록 기성·준공검사 기간단축 및 공사대금 지급을 단축하여 건설업체와 하도급업체를 적극 지원, 각종 하도급 대금이 체불되는 일이 없도록 지속적인 관심을 기울이고 체불 예방을 위한 제도개선에도 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
