[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 10월 22일 동두천시 불현동 새마을남녀지도자는 관내 방역 취약지역을 중심으로 2021년 마지막 정기 방역을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 방역활동은 광암동 주택밀집지역 등 관내 취약지역을 중심으로 진행됐으며, 새마을지도자와 부녀회원들로 구성된 불현동 새마을자율방역단이 매개 감염병 해충 방제를 위해 구슬땀을 흘렸다고 말했다. 

불현동 새마을방역단에서는 지난 6월부터 10월 말까지 하수구와 물웅덩이, 공한지, 상습불결지 등의 방역취약지역을 대상으로 적극적인 방역을 실시하여 주민들의 쾌적한 생활환경 조성에 기여했다고 전했다.

김지일 불현동장은 “안전하고 편안한 주민생활을 위해 힘써주시는 새마을 회원분들께 항상 감사드린다”며 “감염병 매개 해충 발생에 신속히 대처하고 주민 불편사항을 수시로 점검해 건강하고 쾌적한 환경조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
