자율 방역봉사를 계획하고 실천하고 있는 이천호 회장은 “장흥면은 양주시에서 대표적인 관광지역으로 제일 면적이 넓고 인구가 노령화되어 만약에 코로나19로 피해가 발생한다면 지역 경제와 주민의 불안감은 이루 말할수 없기에 우리 새마을지도자들이 자율적으로 코로나19가 종식될때까지 방역활동을 전개해 나가겠다”고 다짐하였다.
