[장선희 기자= 경기북부/강원] 지난 4월 29일, 포천시는 포천시립중앙도서관에서 포천시 산업안전 관리감독자로 지정된 공무원을 대상으로 ‘2022년 산업안전 관리감독자 정기 안전보건교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

관리감독자는 산업안전보건법에 따라 소속기관의 현업근로자를 관리감독하는 자로서 근로자의 안전교육과 보건관리, 작업현장 점검 및 관리 등을 담당한다고 했다.

시는 현업근로자를 관리하고 있는 각 부서 및 읍면동 팀장 68명을 관리감독자로 지정했으며, 이날 교육에는 관리감독자 60여 명이 참석해 관리감독자의 역할과 임무, 산업재해 감소대책, 중대재해처벌법 개요 및 법령 등을 학습했다고 전했다.

시 관계자는 “근로자의 안전은 근로자 본인의 경각심과 기본원칙 준수가 제일 중요하고 그에 못지않게 최일선 관리감독자의 역할 또한 중요하다.”면서 “교육을 통해 관련법과 기본원칙을 다시 한번 숙지하여 안전문화가 정착될 수 있도록 담당 공무원의 역할에 최선을 다하길 바란다.”고 말했다.
