[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김동연 더불어민주당 경기도지사 예비후보의 공약 시리즈 ‘명작동화(明作東花)’가 전격 공개됐다고 전했다.

‘명작동화(明作東花)’는 이름 그대로 ‘이재명이 만들고 김동연이 꽃 피운다’라는 의미의 공약 시리즈로, 이재명 前 경기도지사가 추진해온 정책에 김동연의 색깔을 더해 한층 발전시켜 나가겠다는 김 후보의 의지를 담고 있다고 했다.

김 후보는 ‘명작동화’ 제1탄으로 지방자치단체 최초의 동물 국과수인 ‘경기도 수의법의학 센터’ 설립 등을 주요 골자로 하는 ‘반려동물’ 공약을 발표했다고 했다.

김 후보는 지난 23일 자신의 SNS에 “지자체 최초의 동물 국과수, ‘경기도 수의법의학 센터’를 설립하겠습니다”라는 제목의 글을 게재하고 이 같은 구상을 밝혔다.

이어 “‘동물 국과수’의 역할을 띤 ‘경기도 수의법의학 센터’를 전국 지자체 최초로 설립하겠다”라며 “이재명 지사 시절 지자체 최초로 구성된 ‘동물학대전담팀’을 확대 개편하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

이 밖에도 김 후보가 밝힌 반려동물 공약은 반려동물 테마파크 및 반려동물 놀이터 확충, 도 직영 반려동물 입양센터 확대, 도내 펫푸드 생산 및 공급 체계적 관리 방안 수립 등이라고 전했다.

김동연 캠프 관계자는 “이재명 전 지사가 닦아놓은 기초와 정책을 더욱 발전시켜 나가겠다는 김 후보의 의지를 담아 명작동화 공약 시리즈를 기획하게 됐다”라며 “앞으로 2~4일마다 릴레이로 발표될 예정인 만큼 많은 관심을 부탁한다”고 말했다.
