[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 자원봉사센터소속 가족봉사단은 2022년에도 어려운 이웃을 위한 나눔활동 준비를 위해 농촌봉사 고구마 심기활동 준비로 나눔 텃밭 고랑 만들기 작업을 실시하였다고 밝혔다. 

가족봉사단 나눔 텃밭 농촌봉사 활동은 지난 2020년도부터 진행하여 거름주기, 고랑만들기, 농산물심기, 풀뽑기, 작물수확 등 1년 동안의 장기 봉사로 가족봉사단원들의 땀과 노력이 수확이라는 결실을 맺어 판매수익금을 어려운 이웃에게 기부하기 위한 가족봉사단의 자원봉사 프로젝트 중 하나라고 전했다.

첫해 감자수확을 통해 200여 만원과, 지난 2021년 땅콩 수확으로 600여 만원을 공동모금회 및 가평군 장학회에 후원하는 쾌거를 남겼으며, 올해는 고구마 수확을 진행하여 판매수익금을 각종 어려운 청소년들을 위한 장학회에 기부할 예정이라고 했다.

자원봉사센터 직원과 가족봉사단원 20가족 40여명이 참여하여 부모님과 함께하는 텃밭체험으로 부모님들은 고랑에 비닐 씌우는 작업을 진행하였으며 자녀들은 밭에 돌맹이와 잡초 등을 골라내며 흙을 직접 만져보고 느껴보는 시간들을 가졌다고 했다. 

가평군자원봉사센터 김금순 센터장은 “올해도 농촌봉사를 통하여 이웃사랑실천에 함께할 수 있어서 감사하고 뿌듯하며, 가족봉사단원의 자녀들이 함께 참여해 나누고 베푸는 소중함을 함께 누릴 수 있어서 더 귀한 시간이 되었다.”며 마음을 전하였다. 

가족봉사단 회장님의 자녀 최혁군은 “집에서는 농사일을 해보지 않았는데 가족봉사단 활동을 통하여 1년 동안의 농사 활동을 해보고 수확의 기쁨도 누려 볼 수 있었고, 농민들의 수고를 알 수 있는 시간이 되었으며, 수확한 농작물을 통하여 이웃에게 나눔을 전할 수 있는 프로젝트를 진행해 주셔서 감사하다”고 말했다. 

이에 센터장은 “올 한해 계획한 농촌봉사활동을 차질없이 진행하도록 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

가평군 자원봉사센터 가족봉사단은 2인 이상으로 구성된 가족 단위의 봉사단체로써 카네이션 달아드리기, 취약계층 지원, 환경정화활동, 기부활동을 통하여 이웃사랑실천에 앞장서고 있는 봉사단체로 52가족 193명이 참여한다고 전했다.
