[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 6일 가평군 자원봉사센터는 가족봉사단 활동으로 나눔 텃밭 땅콩심기를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

발열 체크 및 손 소독, 마스크 쓰기 등 코로나 상황에 맞추어 진행된 나눔 텃밭 땅콩심기 활동은 주말 활동으로 예정되었으나 날씨의 영향으로 진행되지 못하고 평일로 미뤄져 뒤늦게 진행되었다고 했다.

자원봉사센터 직원과 봉사자 25여명이 투입된 이번 땅콩심기 자원봉사활동은 급작스러운 일정 조정으로 인하여 봉사자 투입이 어려웠으나 새마을부녀회 가평읍, 자유총연맹, 의용소방대에서 흔쾌히 협력하여 가족봉사단과 함께 400평이 넘는 땅콩밭에 땅콩심기를 진행하였다고 했다.

가평군자원봉사센터 김금순 센터장은 “코로나19로 침체되어 있는 시국에 적극적인 봉사활동 참여로 지역사회에 기여하고자 추진했다” 라며 “취약계층의 어려움을 위하여 앞으로도 자원봉사자의 적극적인 활동을 돕겠다고”고 말했다.

가족봉사단 땅콩심기 봉사활동은 1년간의 장기 계획 봉사로서 밭고랑 만들기, 심기, 가꾸기, 작물 수확, 나눔 활동을 통하여 농촌봉사의 의미를 되새기고 수확의 기쁨을 함께 나누며 내가 직접 기른 작물을 통하여 나눔으로 이웃사랑을 실천하는 프로그램이라고 전했다.
