[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 횡성군농업기술센터는 본격적인 영농철을 맞아, 농경지 가축분뇨(퇴비) 사용 시 부숙이 완료된 퇴비 사용을 권장하고 퇴비 부숙도 검사를 무료로 지원한다고 밝혔다.

가축분뇨의 부숙도 검사는 토양과 식물에 안정적인 반응이 나타나는지를 검사하는 것으로, ‘가축분뇨의 관리 및 이용에 관한 법률’에 따르면 퇴비로 사용 시 부숙이 완료된 가축분뇨만 사용할 수 있도록 부숙도 검사를 의무화하고 있으며, 허가 규모 대상 농가는 연 2회, 신고 규모 대상 농가는 연 1회 검사를 받아야 하고, 위반시 과태료 처분을 받을 수 있다고 전했다.

검사 방법으로는 축산농가에서 퇴비 더미를 잘 섞어 여러 곳에서 시료를 채취하여 혼합하며, 이 가운데 500g 가량을 시료 봉투에 담아 횡성군 농업기술센터 가축분뇨 부숙도 검사실에 의뢰하면 되고, 이후 15일 내 결과를 통보받을 수 있다고 헀다.
