[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 한겨울뿐 아니라 일교차가 큰 환절기까지 찬바람을 맞으며 버스를 기다려야 하는 주민들의 불편을 조금이나마 줄여주기 위해 시내버스 정류장에 보온기능이 장착된 온열의자 설치와 시설개선을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

군은 3월중에 전담조사팀을 편성하여 관내 버스대기소 429개소에 대한 전수조사를 통해 버스대기소 및 온열의자 현황을 파악하여 교체대상 및 시설개선 대상을 선정하고, 또한 8,000만원의 예산을 확보하여 시내버스 정류장의 온열의자 20개소 설치 및 9개소의 정류장을 정비하여 어르신‧장애인‧임산부 등 교통약자는 물론 주민 등 버스 이용객들 모두가 따뜻하고 쾌적한 환경에서 버스를 기다릴 수 있도록 추진할 계획이라고 했다. 

온열의자는 가로 203㎝, 세로 33㎝ 크기로 특수 탄소나노섬유를 이용해 열효율은 높고 전력소모는 최소로 디자인 되었고, 또, 이중 안전유리마감재를 사용하다보니 외부 충격에도 강하고 내구성도 우수하다고 알려져 있으며 40~42℃ 정도로 유지하며, 그 외의 기간에는 별도의 전력 없이도 강화유리라는 제품 자체 특성상 쾌적한 환경 조성이 가능해 그야말로 사계절 맞춤 쉼터가 될 전망이라고 전했다.
