[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 개학기를 맞아 쾌적하고 안전한 교육환경 조성을 위해 학교 주변의 불법광고물에 대한 일제정비를 실시 할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

속초시는 관내 초‧중‧고등학교 주변 및 어린이보호구역, 학교환경위생정화 구역을 비롯한 학생들의 통학시 안전관리가 필요한 인접구역까지 중점 정비 할 계획이며, 주요 정비대상은 파손, 추락 등 안전사고 위험이 있는 노후·불법 간판, 음란·퇴폐적 유해광고물, 보행자의 통행에 지장을 초래하는 현수막, 입간판(에어라이트) 및 벽보, 전단지 등이라고 전했다.

불법유동광고물의 경우 적발 즉시 수거하고 노후간판은 광고주로 하여금 자진정비를 유도하며 특히, 음란 ‧ 퇴폐성 유해광고물(전단지, 명함)은 집중적으로 단속하고 적발 즉시 폐기처분과 불법광고의 전화번호를 이용정지 요청할 방침이라고 했다. 

속초시는 이외에도 안전하고 쾌적한 환경 조성을 위하여 주요 도로변, 사거리 아파트 등 분양 목적으로 불법 대량 설치되는 현수막에 대하여도 집중 정비 할 계획이라고 했다.

속초시 관계자는 “학교 주변 위해요소의 사전점검 강화로 도시미관을 저해하고 청소년들에게 유해한 영향을 미치는 불법광고물을 일제 정비해 학생들이 안전하게 통학할 수 있도록 지속적인 단속과 정비활동을 펼쳐 나갈 계획이다”고 말했다.
