특히 경쟁부분에 출품하여 본선에 진출한 19개 작품은 10월 18일부터 10월 27일까지 10일간 의정부시청소년재단 유튜브 채널에서 사전 공개되며 조회수에 따라 심사에 반영되며,  3회째를 맞이하는 2021 의정부 청소년 영화제는 전국 청소년들이 제작한 작품을 공모하여 통통 튀는 아이디어와 독특한 느낌의 작품들을 엄선하여 영화제에서 상영한다고 말했다.
