[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 14일 의정부시청소년재단 의정부시청소년수련관은 경기꿈의학교 공모사업 ‘세상을 잇는 손, 청소년의 수어지교(手語知交)’에서 활동하고 있는 청소년들이 직접 만든 투명 마스크 ‘립 뷰 마스크’와 수어 홍보물을 나누는 캠페인을 의정부역 동부광장, 행복로, 제일시장 일대에서 진행했다고 밝혔다.

농인 및 청각장애인과 대화 시 표정이 중요하다는 점에 집중해 투명 마스크 DIY키트를 구매해 청소년들이 직접 만들어 비장애인을 대상으로 나눔과 수어 홍보 캠페인을 펼쳤으며, 투명 마스크와 홍보물을 받은 시민들은 청소년들이 대견하다며 격려를 아끼지 않았고 홍보물에 삽입되어있는 수어 동작을 따라 하기도 했다고 전했다.

조경서 의정부시청소년수련관장은 “수어지교 청소년들이 투명 마스크 나눔 캠페인으로 농인 및 청각장애인에 대한 비장애인의 이해와 변화가 있길 바라며, 앞으로도 다양한 프로그램을 진행하여 청소년들이 올바른 민주시민으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.
