[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 9일, 16일, 23일, 30일 동두천시 평생교육원 시립도서관에서는 어수정 작은도서관 이용 활성화를 위해 매주 화요일 4회에 걸쳐 성인 10여 명을 대상으로 어수정 작은도서관에서 독서문화강좌 ‘행복한 시 낭송’을 운영하여 수강생들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다고 밝혔다.

지역작가인 손순자 강사를 초빙하여 코로나19 방역수칙을 지키며 운영된 이번 강좌에서는 수강생들이 시에 대한 이해와 시 낭송의 이론과 실제, 시 낭송의 발성 등을 배우고 직접 유명 시 작품을 낭송하며 연습하는 시간을 가졌고, 마지막 수업시간에는 수강생들이 무대 경험을 조금이나마 느낄 수 있도록 가장 마음에 드는 옷차림으로 마이크 앞에 서서 지난 시간 배웠던 낭송 기법을 접목해 시 낭송을 해보는 유익한 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

한 수강생은 “이번 11월에 운영한 시 낭송 강좌에 참여할 수 있어 너무 좋았다”며 “내년에도 시 낭송 강좌가 운영되었으면 좋겠다”고 바람을 전했다.

도서관 관계자는 “9월 행복한 시 낭송 강좌에 참여했던 수강생들의 의견이 반영되어 11월중 추가로 운영된 행복한 시 낭송도 코로나19로 많은 어려움이 있었지만 수강생들의 호응 속에 성황리 마무리되어 너무 기쁘다”면서 “내년에도 성인 대상으로 다양한 주제의 문화강좌를 운영할 예정이니 시민 여러분의 관심 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
