[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5일 동두천시 (사)희망지킴이 천사운동본부는 청소년국궁장에서 ‘동두천 천사의 화살 국궁 꿈의학교’를 개교했다고 밝혔다.

경기도교육청, 경기도청, 동두천시가 후원하며, 경기꿈의학교 지원사업비로 진행되는 ‘동두천 천사의 화살 국궁 꿈의학교’는 25명의 학생을 대상으로, 우리나라 고유의 활쏘기 운동인 국궁을 25회기에 걸쳐 진행한다고 말했다. 

김영호 본부장은 “나라의 미래를 책임질 청소년들에게 전통문화의 계승을 위해 궁도수업을 진행하게 됐다”며, “항상 올바른 자세와 균형을 요구하는 궁도는 코로나19로 외부활동이 거의 없고, 스마트폰과 인터넷에 노출된 청소년들의 집중력 향상과 신체 및 정신 건강에도 아주 좋은 운동으로, 성장기에 도움을 준다”고 취지를 밝혔다.
