경기꿈의학교는 학생과 청소년이 자신 꿈을 향해 스스로 꿈의학교를 기획하고 운영하는 학교 밖 교육활동으로 학생이 만들어가는 꿈의학교, 학생이 찾아가는 꿈의학교, 다함께 꿈의학교 등 세 유형으로 나눠 운영한다고 했다.

응모자격은 ‘학생이 만들어가는 꿈의학교’의 경우 경기도 내 초·중·고 학생과 동일연령대 학교밖 청소년이며, ‘학생이 찾아가는 꿈의학교’는 도전형, 성장형, 사회적협동조합형으로 분류해 개인이나 비영리 단체, 사회적협동조합이 대상이라고 전했다.
