[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군농업기술센터는 올해, 5월 31일까지 예산액 58,000천원을 투입하여 저온살균기, 유성분분석기, 초저온냉동고 등의 주요 관련 장비를 구비하여 친환경축산관리실을 설치하고 시험가동을 실시 후, 7월부터 본격적으로 초유은행 운영 및 한우조기임신진단, 송아지설사병진단 서비스 제공 등의 정상운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다. 

초유는 소가 송아지를 출산한 후 1~2일간 생산하는 진한 노란색의 우유로, 송아지의 설사, 질병 예방 등에 중요한 면역물질인 면역글로불린, 비타민A 등을 다량 함유하고 있어 송아지의 질병 저항성을 높이는데 크게 도움이 된다고 했다. 

친환경축산관리실 “초유은행”의 안전 공급운영을 통해 선별된 관내 젖소농장에서 확보한 초유는 저온살균처리 및 유성분분석, IgG함량분석 등의 철저한 검사과정을 거쳐, 냉동보관 후 한우농가에 공급된다고 했다.
