지난 13일 김동연 경기도지사 후보는 페이스북 메시지를 통해 “먹거리가 넘친다고 하지만 여전히 우리 주변의 누군가는 끼니를 걱정하고 있다”면서 “맞벌이 ‧ 한부모 가정이 늘면서 우리 아이들이 건강하지 않은 먹거리를 자주 접하고 있다”고 밝혔다.

또한 경기도에서 시행중인 ‘어린이 건강과일 공급’ 사업과, 학교 등 공공급식에친환경농산물 ‧ 로컬푸드 공급을 확대하겠다고 밝혔다.
