[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김동연 후보가 지난 25일 경기도농민단체협의회 대표단과 정책간담회를 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

김동연 더불어민주당 경기도지사 후보를 향한 도내 농업계의 지지와 정책제안이 이어지고 있다고 전했다. 

이날 간담회에는 김동연 후보를 비롯한 윤세구 경기농민단체협의회 회장, 황병덕 한국농업경영인경기연합회 회장, 김영애 생활개선경기도연합회 회장, 김상기 경기친환경농업인연합회 회장, 임육택 한국화훼협회경기도지부 회장, 홍승권 경기도 4-H연합회 회장, 김봉선 농가주부모임경기도연합회 회장 등 30여 명이 참석했다고 했다.

경기도농민단체협의회는 간담회를 통해 탄소중립농업 정책·농업재정 예산 확대 및 지역 푸드플랜 구축, 농산물 최저 가격 보장제도 확립 및 시행, 농가소득 보존 및 생산비 지원대책 수립, 농업인 일손 경감 대책 수립 등의 현안 과제를 건의했다고 전했다.

김 후보는 간담회에서 “저는 농부의 아들로 태어났고 방송통신대학교 농학과에 입학할 정도로 농업에 관심이 많다”며, “농업계의 의견을 잘 수렴해 농업 정책을 추진하겠으며, 도지사에 당선되면 인수위에 농민 대표를 인수위원으로 모시겠다”고 밝혔다. 

이에 경기도농민단체협의회 윤세구 회장은 “김동연 후보께서 경기도 농민들이 현장에서 겪는 어려움에 대해 경청해주셔서 감사하다”며, “실제 농사를 짓는 농민들이 정책의 실효성을 느낄 수 있도록 경기도의 농업·농촌정책 마련에 적극 협력하겠다”고 화답했다.
