[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김동연 더불어민주당 경기도지사 후보가 명작동화 열네 번째 공약으로 ‘비정규직 노동자 휴가비 지원 확대’ 공약을 발표했다고 전했다.

김동연 후보는 28일 페이스북 메시지를 통해 “아프면 쉬기, 코로나19가 온 세상을 덮친 이후 귀가 닳도록 들었던 이 말이 허울처럼 느껴지는 분들이 있다”고 언급한 뒤, “비정규직 노동자와 특수형태근로 종사가 특히 그렇다”고 밝혔다.

고용이 불안정하거나 일한 양이 곧 소득의 양으로 직결되는 까닭에 쉬고 싶거나 쉬어야 하는 때에 오롯이 휴식을 취하기 어려운 비정규직 노동자 및 특수형태근로 종사자들의 열악한 환경을 지적한 것이라고 했다.

이처럼 경제적 이유로 휴가를 망설이지 않도록 경기도에서는 비정규직 노동자와 특수형태근로 종사자 중 연소득 3,600만 원 이하인 일부 경기도민을 대상으로 휴가비를 지원하는 사업을 진행해 왔으며, ‘누구나 제대로 쉴 권리’를 보장받도록 해야 한다는 것이 이 사업의 주된 취지라고 했다.
