[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 행정안전부 주관 ‘2022년 공공데이터 기업매칭 지원 공모’에 3년 연속 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

공공데이터 기업매칭 지원사업은 공공데이터 구축·가공 기술이 필요한 기관과 기업이 협력해 국비 지원을 통한 데이터 구축과 개방을 추진하고 데이터구축에 관심 있는 청년인턴을 기업이 고용하는 사업이라고 전했다.

올해 선정된 사업은 교통안전 시설물 현황 데이터 구축 사업이며 사업비 전액인 국비 2억 6천만을 지원받는다고 했다.

사업을 수행하는 기업은 양주, 구리, 포천, 하남 등 4개 지자체를 대상으로 신호등, 횡단보도, 도로안전표지판 등 총 3종의 표준데이터 구축을 추진한다고 했다.

시는 지난 2020년 기업매칭 공모사업에 선정돼 신호등 표준데이터를 기구축한 바 있으며 올해에는 신호등을 제외한 2개 데이터를 가공·구축할 방침이고, 기업매칭 사업을 통해 구축한 데이터는 올해 12월 공공데이터 포털과 양주시 홈페이지를 통해 개방될 예정이라고 전했다.

시 관계자는 “이번 사업을 통해 운전자와 보행자의 안전과 직결되는 교통시설물 정보를 공공데이터로 구축, 다양한 서비스에 활용될 수 있도록 개방하겠다”며 “청년 참여인턴을 고용해 데이터 분야에 대한 실무경험 기회를 제공함으로써 일자리 창출은 물론 전문 인력 양성에 박차를 가하겠다”고 말했다.
