[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김동연 더불어민주당 경기도지사 예비후보가 ‘2022 고양 국제 꽃 박람회장’을 방문해 도내 화훼 농업인들의 의견을 청취하고, ‘민생경제 회복 프로젝트’ 추진을 통해 화훼 농업인들의 얼굴에도 웃음꽃이 필 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.

김 후보는 지난 24일 오후 1시 고양시 일산동구에 있는 ‘2022 고양 국제 꽃 박람회장’을 방문해 권기현 고양시 화훼 연합회장을 비롯한 화훼 농업인들과 ‘현장 정책간담회’를 가졌다고 했다.

이날 정책간담회에서 화훼 농업인들은 경기남부지역 화훼 남부센터 건립, 꽃문화 진흥원 유치 등 화훼 인프라 구축을 위한 정책을 건의했다고 전했다.

김 후보는 간담회를 마친 뒤 자신의 SNS에 ‘고양특례시! 꽃으로 희망을 수놓다’라는 제목의 글을 게재하고, 코로나 피해를 입은 도민들의 생계 터전 정상화를 위한 ‘민생경제 회복 프로젝트’를 추진하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

이어 “고양시는 명실상부한 우리 화훼산업의 중심지다. 화훼 산업은 높은 수준의 미적 감각과 창의력을 바탕으로 한 고부가가치 산업”이라며 “우리 꽃이 국내를 넘어 세계 시장에 확고하게 뿌리내리게 되면 화훼농가뿐만 아니라 경기도에도 더 큰 기회가 열릴 거라 확신한다”고 덧붙였다.
