[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 올해 도로교통 안전과 도시미관 개선을 위한 노면표시 정비 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

원주시는 사업비로 상반기 15억 원을 우선 편성하고 하반기에 15억 원을 추가 편성해 총 30억 원을 들여 관내 도로의 노후 노면표시를 새로 정비하며, 노면표시 외에도 교통사고 발생이 빈번한 장소에 차량의 제동거리 축소를 위한 미끄럼방지포장을 시공하고, 복잡한 교차로에 차량의 주행 경로를 유도하는 노면 색깔 유도선도 시공해 도로교통 환경을 한층 개선할 계획이라고 전했다.

이길복 교통행정과장은 “지속적인 노면표시 정비로 시민들에게 안전하고 쾌적한 도로 환경을 제공해 교통 불편을 줄이도록 하겠다.”라고 말했다.
