[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 관광편의 증진 및 도시미관 개선을 위하여 관내 관광지 및 도로변에 설치된 관광안내표지판에 대한 정비공사를 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

시는 지난 3월 중 전수조사를 실시하여 표지판 내 글자 인쇄 상태, 부식 및 찌그러짐 등 표지판의 설치상태와 노후·파손 여부 등을 점검했으며, 이를 토대로 오는 4월 말까지 영랑호 신세계 리조트 골프장 앞 삼거리에 영랑호수윗길 주차장 안내표지판 1기 설치와 도문교 삼거리 앞 등 도로변에 설치된 관광안내표지판 3기, 외옹치 해변 내 안내표지판 3기 등을 보수할 예정이다.

속초시 관계자는 “관광안내표지판 신설 및 정비를 통해 동해안 제일의 대표 관광도시에 걸맞은 관광안내 인프라를 구축하고, 관광객과 시민들에게 교통편의와 관광지 정보를 빠르게 제공함으로써 지역관광 활성화에 기여하겠다.”라고 말했다.
