[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시의회 오범구 의장은 지난달 25일 녹양동·흥선동·가능동 통장협의회 봄맞이 대청소, 29일 가능동 꽃길 조성, 31일 흥선동 취약구역 청소, 의정부시 새마을협회 환경정비에 참여했다고 밝혔다.

다소 쌀쌀한 날씨에도 불구하고 봄맞이 마을 주변 및 취약지역 청결을 위하여 지역주민들이 주도적으로 청소에 나섰다고 전했다.

대청소 참여자들은 이면도로 및 주택 밀집 지역의 구석을 누비며 겨우내 방치된 무단투기 생활 폐기물, 도로면 빗물받이에 쌓인 낙엽과 쓰레기를 제거하는 등 환경정비 활동을 펼쳤다고 했다.

오범구 의장은 “통장협의회·새마을협회 등 자생 단체 회원들과 평소에 손길이 닿지 않았던 취약지역을 깨끗이 청소하여 쾌적한 의정부시를 만들고 나아가 코로나19로 지쳐있는 주민들에게 활력을 드릴 수 있어서 매우 기쁘다”며 “깨끗한 의정부시를 만들기 위해 시민들이 솔선수범해 즐겁게 봄맞이 대청소에 참여해 주셔서 감사드린다”라고 말했다.
