[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 24일 포천시의회는 독자적인 인사권 행사를 위해 ‘포천시의회 인사위원회’를 구성하고 위촉식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

포천시의회는 지방자치법 전부개정으로 의회 소속 공무원의 인사권이 지방의회 의장에게 이양돼 독립적인 인사운영을 위해 지방공무원법 제7조 제5항에 따라 인사행정에 관한 학식과 경험이 풍부한 사람 중 7명을 임명·위촉했다고 전했다.

포천시의회 인사위원회는 포천시의회 소속 공무원의 충원계획 사전 심의 및 각종 임용시험을 실시하고, 임면·승진·징계 등 인사행정을 수행한다고 했다.

손세화 의장은 “포천시의회 자체 인사위원회 구성으로 소속 공무원의 독립성이 강화되어 집행기관에 대한 지방의회의 견제와 감시 역할이 더욱 효과적으로 이루어질 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
