[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1일 포천시의회는 제164회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열어 제6대 전반기 시의회를 이끌어갈 의장, 부의장, 운영위원장을 선출했다고 밝혔다.

이날 재적의원 7명 전원의 투표를 통해 제6대 전반기 의장에 서과석 의원, 부의장에 연제창 의원, 운영위원장에 임종훈 의원을 선출했다고 전했다.

서과석 의장은 “동료의원 여러분께서 저를 선출하여 주신 깊은 뜻과 책임을 잊지 않고, 의원님들의 고견을 적극적으로 수렴하여 포천시민의 기대와 요구에 부응하며 새로운 변화의 장을 함께 열어갈 수 있도록 임기가 끝나는 날까지 최선을 다해 의정활동을 하겠다”고 당선소감을 밝혔다.

연제창 부의장은 당선소감을 통해 “앞으로 저는 부의장으로서 주어진 2년의 임기 동안 서과석 의장님과 함께 호흡을 맞춰서 포천시의회가 새롭게 변화될 수 있도록 저에게 맡겨진 소임을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

임종훈 운영위원장은 “ 포천시와 포천시의회의 발전을 위해 기회를 갖게 되어 매우 감사하게 생각하며, 시민이 만족하고, 바른 의정을 펼치는 운영위원회가 되도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
