[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시의회는 19일 오전 본회의장에서 제165회 임시회 1차 본회의를 열고 오는 27일까지 9일간의 의사일정에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.

포천시의회는 이번 임시회에서 ‘포천시 자율방범대 지원 조례 일부개정조례안’, ‘경기포천 아동보호전문기관 민간위탁 동의안’ 등 총 6건의 안건을 심의 의결한다.

또한, 9월에 예정되어있는 제166회 제1차 정례회 중 2022년도 행정사무감사 운영을 위해 위원장과 부위원장을 선임하고, 집행부의 주요 업무와 현안에 대해 보고받는다.

이날 본회의에 앞서 연제창 의원은 옥정~포천 광역철도 재검토 공약 파기와 관련해 5분 자유발언을 펼쳤다.

연 의원은 “추상적, 비현실적인 철도 정책을 남발하시기보단 1호 공약 파기를 겸허히 인정하고 사과하실 때”라며, “철도에는 다른 것은 차치하고 수십 년간의 노력의 결실인 현 옥정~포천 노선의 원활한 추진을 위해 노력해달라”고 말했다.

서과석 의장은 개회사를 통해 “금리 인상과 물가 폭등으로 경제적으로 고통받고 계시는 시민 여러분께 깊은 위로의 말씀을 드리며, 시의회는 집행부와 함께 지역경제를 살리기 위해 현장의 목소리가 정책에 잘 반영될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”며, “희망을 안고 도약하는 제6대 포천시의회는 ‘시민과 함께 희망을 만들어가는 의회’를 구현하기 위해 시민 여러분께서 맡겨 주신 책무에 소홀함 없이 최선을 다해 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 말했다.
