장애인스포츠강좌이용권 지원사업은 관내 만 19세에서 만 64세 장애인을 대상으로 1인당 월 8만 5천 원 범위 내 장애인스포츠강좌 수강료를 지원하는 사업으로, 지난해는 저소득층 장애인을 대상으로 지원했으나, 올해부터는 소득에 상관없이 신청할 수 있게 되었으며, 지원금을 매월 8만 원에서 8만 5천 원으로 인상하고, 지원 기간도 연간 8개월에서 10개월로 확대해 진행할 계획이라고 했다.

장애인스포츠강좌이용권 홈페이지를 통해 신청 가능하고, 온라인으로 신청할 수 없는 경우에는 주소지 동 행정복지센터 및 의정부시청 체육과를 방문해 신청할 수 있다고 했다.

지원강좌는 태권도, 수영 등 대한장애인체육회 및 대한체육회 가맹 종목, 장애인이 참여 가능한 생활체육 종목으로 장애인스포츠강좌이용권 홈페이지에 접속해 가맹시설 정보 및 수강 신청 가능 강좌를 조회할 수 있다고 전했다.
