[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 12일 의정부시는 저소득층 청소년들의 스포츠 활동 참여기회 확대 및 건전한 여가활동을 위해 올해 스포츠강좌이용권 사업을 시행한다고 밝혔다.

스포츠강좌이용권 사업은 경제적 어려움이 있는 가정의 유·청소년에게 체육활동 참여기회를 제공하기 위해 스포츠강좌이용권 가맹시설을 이용 시 월 최대 8만5천 원의 스포츠 수강료를 지원하는 제도로, 한도액을 초과한 금액은 지원자 본인이 부담해야 하며, 이용 기간은 오는 12월까지고, 예산 상황에 따라 변경될 수 있다고 했다.

의정부시는 1월 현재 1천17명의 대상자를 선정 완료했으며, 이용권 선정 대상자는 오는 2월부터 관내 체육시설을 이용해 체육활동에 참여할 수 있다고 전했다.

현재 이용 가능한 스포츠 시설은 공공시설인 의정부시설관리공단을 비롯한 공공 및 사설기관 255개소로, 해당 종목은 태권도·수영·검도·헬스·축구 등 총 27개 종목이고, 자세한 사항은 스포츠강좌이용권 홈페이지를 참고하거나 의정부시청 체육과로 문의하면 된다고 밝혔다.
