[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 29일 태백시는 시청 대회의실에서 관내 고3 학생들과 함께 소통의 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 코로나 19 상황에서 수능준비 또는 취업준비로 고생한  학생들을 격려하고 새로운 앞날을 응원하며 학생 개인 의견과 시정 발전에 대한 다양한 아이디어를 개진하며 함께 소통하고 공감하는 기회를 가지기 위해 추진됐다고 했다.

행사에는 태백시장, 평생교육과장, 담당, 관내 5개 고등학교 3학년 학생 40여 명 등이 참석했으며, 관광, 문화, 교육 등 다양한 분야의 의견을 개진했다고 했다.

이날 참가한 학생들은 “코로나 19로 인해 2년 동안 축제, 체험학습 등의 기회가 줄어들어 아쉬웠는데 내년부터는 코로나 방역을 철저하게 하여 안전하게 행사 등이 이루어졌으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.

태백시장은 “오늘 참석해 주신 학생 여러분과 학생들을 인솔해 주신 선생님들께 깊은 감사의 말씀을 드린다”며 “코로나 19라는 위기 속에서 수능준비 또는 취업준비로 고생했을 학생 여러분들의 새로운 앞날을 응원하고자 이 자리를 마련하게 되었다”고 말했다.

이어 “학생 개인의 의견과 시정 발전에 대한 좋은 아이디어를 개진하여 함께 공감하고 소통하는 자리가 되었으면 좋겠다”며 “학생들이 내놓은 다양한 의견들을 시정 및 교육 정책에 적극 검토하고 반영하겠다”고 말했다.
